So we have some new lower level quests... nice.
Then I realize it's all to unlock a feature I am not interested in. Why should people not interested in 40 man raids or raiding waste time with this?
If raiders are all about time investment for "loots" then let them do all the work to unlock their content since they will be the only ones who will benefit.
IMO any encounter that takes more than 10 peep is not intimate enough and not why I am paying to play. If you agree, don't waste your time with the Raider's War Effort.

It doesn't just unlock Ahn'Qiraj. Naturally that is the focus of the event, but there are quests that are not at all centered around raid content that become available as a result of the completion. :)
As such, it is very much in your interest to continue fueling the war effort.

Hozz, you are exaggerating the imbalances, and said population imbalance does not exist on all realms. Coding a number based on population for each individual realm of the 100+ realms we have on the North American side alone would be insane to QA, and that's not even beginning to count worldwide.
Population imbalances were, in fact, taken into consideration during the design of this event. Things will play out just fine regardless of said imbalance. :)
