I know when I play a game, I look for new things to see, new encounters, new items.. being a CM or someone working for Blizzard, has the game's influence of "newness" been ruined by the fact that you know whats coming, whats going on, what the game is like prior to a patch?
I know when I play something for the first time there's the "this is cool" factor, but if you work for Blizzard, and they are feeding the info directly to you, does the game still have the same "this is cool" effect?
Kinda like seeing a movie for the first time vs seeing it a 2nd time.. the first time it's better, but if someone tells you about the story then its kind of ruined, you know?[ post edited by Gulnathak ]

I play the game for fun.
In addition to testing the game prior to its release on live realms, I also have two 60s in vastly different guilds. As an example, I'll use Zul'Gurub.
Now, I tested ZG quite a bit before it came out as a Druid. I learned basic strategies and followed through. I knew a decent amount about the boss encounters, but less about the encounters in between during this time.
Now, my 60 Tauren Druid is in a casual guild that is doing its best to work its way slowly through the instance. It's definitely a whole new ball game with you're with fun-loving folks that keep a good attitude about dying and learning.
My 60 Human Rogue, on the other hand, is in a MC-farming guild -- we play through ZG quickly, and there I get to participate in different strategies (as I'm Alliance rather than Horde) and employ different tactics (since I'm a Rogue rather than a Druid). The difference in play is immense, and I have fun in another way.
I never play the game if it feels like work. I always play for fun. I'm still playing after a year. ;)
Good daycycle, Citizen!
