Its hard to RP even on an rp server when your wearing 10 different colors with a rotating gear on your back. All i want is to have the option to wear clothes like the NPCs wear. Sell suits of Grunt armor and things.Race specific armor sold at each city, it could all be white, or very few stats at a price. I think this would really help facilitate roleplaying, rather than having everyone look like Optimus prime on steroids.
Also there could be unlockable armor sets after you complete a certain amount of quests for a town of your faction. A hammerfall outfit a hillsbrad outfit a revantusk outfit and a thousand needles outfit.[ post edited by Professorx ]

Technically, that sort of thing is already out there.
Ask the people that have full twill sets, for example. (I personally think Calico looks rather fetching.) These are grey armor sets that have all the bits, match, and also correspond to the type of armor you normally wear. Yes, they're random drops, but if you have a few friends who are keen on what you're after or know an area where they're sure to drop, you'll get a set pretty quickly. Heck, I've had moderate success with asking in General for any spare pieces that drop, offering a modest fee in return.
And for regular town clothes, nothing is stopping you from commissioning a tailor to whip you up some duds. The Orange Martial shirt is sharp. ;)
Now, if you're looking for particular sets that look impressive, I'm afraid that's still going to be given to dungeon sets and the like rather than grey or white drops.
Good daycycle, Citizen!

Talk to a Tailor friend about some Blue Overalls, and then it's just a matter of finding a suitable hat and visiting the farmers in Tirisfal Glades to put together another outfit. :)

Q u o t e: Calico looks whorish actually.
And I'm glad your "RP" attemps at certain robes like the Royal Dangul or whatever cost 40g at least. And that "The Rock (It's huge!)" costs as much as a level 40 mount.
Calico is purple with gold accents. It looks quite fine on many characters. Kindly watch your language.
Well, naturally The Rock and a "Royal" Dangui cost quite a bit. They're supposed to be precious, made of the finest of materials. If you want to get your lovely lady something a little more... affordable, those options are available.
