Subject: Why is it Cay
Why is it when we had the raid instance vote, most ( i would venture to say 90%+ ) of the players said they'd rather have a 5-10 man instances instead of 20-40 man instance

and when we ask for battleground queue to be individual or group & be 2 seperate queu's you slap us back in the face and say

Q u o t e:
"In addition, it would cause queue problems for the people in Join As Group, as there are scant few people who would play the game that way."

It's obvious to me that your only seeing this issue from the raid mentality side (( one that needs feeding on pickup groups as well )) & also going as far as to assume only a scant few choose to enter battlegrounds to PVP without being grouped.

please take back your words

We can't make 5-10 man instances appear by wiggling our noses. It takes time.

You may disagree, but honestly, the raid game was lacking in diversity in comparison with the small-group game. You have four major instances that can be played with that playstyle: BRS, Scholomance, Stratholme, and Dire Maul. (Many of these have different sides or wings, but I'll count it as four for the sake of argument.)

The high-end raid game had two instances before 1.9: Molten Core and Blackwing Lair. (These are full raid dungeons rather than one-shot encounters. As I'm making concessions with the small group game, so must I with the larger; it's only fair.)

That's still less than the small-group game.

The Temple of Ahn'Qiraj brings us up to three full-on 40-man raid dungeons, and Naxxramas brings us to four, thus evening out the score.

Zul'Gurub and the Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj are middle ground, and more and more "casuals" are showing up in ZG each and every day. The same will no doubt hold true for the Ruins.

We're going to continue to support the 5-10 man group setup. There are several plans for such in the expansion. There was no perceived "vote" -- the developers have to support both playstyles, not just yours, and they are. It just takes time to get there, first.

As for Battlegrounds, which was the original bone of contention...

This is a multiplayer game, and we want to encourage people to work as a team. As such, I don't believe separating out the queues would solve the issues you're seeking to solve without causing another batch of problems in their place. Queue times would be far longer, for instance, and that's something that's already a large complaint. (No, we can't just whip up cross-realm queues, either; that will take quite some time.) So many people are asking us to stop treating symptoms and start curing the whole thing, and we're doing everything we can in that direction -- but it's a massive undertaking and thus won't be done anytime soon.

The separation of the queue would cause further problems and honestly wouldn't solve a lot of the issues prevalent there. I apologize if you felt it was the answer, but there are many schools of thought on the subject.
