Subject: Blizzard, I ask you, lets be civil about this
To any blue it may concern:
I understand you have your own concept design of the tier 2 epic raid armor (ie wrath, judgement) and for the most part, people are happy with the new art.

Im posting this in hopes of getting a civil and clear answer to the question of why, if a lot of people are unhappy with some of the current armor graphics or color schemes, why not take their suggestions to consideration? The functionallity is not effected in any way, and we are the ones who have to look at the armor every time we play.

And so I ask you this, if customer satisfaction is key to you, why not listen to their wishes? I can already tell that on the subject of the Wrath set, the Netherwind set and the Dragonstalker set, the players of those classes (and a large number from other classes) are unanimous in their want for at least different color schemes, if not new armor design.

For example, the revised concept art for the Dragonstalker set.

It is a simple change that would satisfy a large number of players.

If you will not change the color, I ask that you explain why you will not change it. We pay you for our satisfaction, and so we would like our moneys worth.

Thank you.
Shadowstorm

EDIT: All credit due to the person who re-colored the art, thank you, I cant take credit for that.

I already said it's being looked into.

Your feedback is taken into consideration as far as art goes, but as I've said, the artists are allowed to say "No."

I apologize for assuming you had seen my previous posts, but I really have answered this question several times.

Art is subjective, and a large part of that signature Warcraft atmosphere is the art style. There are people out there -- paying customers, mind -- who feel the armor designs in general are completely ridiculous and they should look more like historical replicas of real world armor. Now, they're paying customers, too... who is right? ;)

Your feedback is considered, honestly. Take, for example, the previously bright pink Ahn'Qiraj Rogue set, which has been changed into a far more subdued grey. They do listen, and they do make changes, but they aren't going to make every single change requested, either.

If everyone had their way, every single armor set would be predominantly black. ;)

So Caydiem... How about that poll idea? New poll every month, have people vote on the armor.. make the majority happy and such? *note, this should not apply to balance changes in any way shape or form. Just for the new armor since so many people are split on it.

See the last comment about every armor set ending up black. :P

Q u o t e:
Highly doubtful judging by other games they'd be neon pink and green. You assume alot. By giving people options you broaden the game and the interest in it. Btw art style and design as applied to armors does not equate to color. That is a choice that should be in the hands of the user since they are already wearing the design and the style.

No, the "neon pink and green" are the few players that have fun with dyes and stand out in your mind because their costumes are so outrageous. I'm not assuming, honestly, I'm not; it's my job to collect feedback after all, right? Check this out. When the Tier 2 Art was released:

...Mages were unhappy, and suggested something in black.
...Warlocks wanted their already dark outfit to be far darker, closer to black.
...Warriors had a very popular player-made redesign drawing that was predominantly black.
...Hunters recolored their armor in Photoshop to be black and gold.

And this is far from the only instance. Dyes are another argument altogether and we have no plans to implement them at this point.

EDIT: Also... kindly lose the insult you edited in. I am not a moron, and am in fact an artist myself, so I understand this whole argument quite well.
