So there are people on these boards claiming that Blizzard has stated weather effects will be in 1.9.
I am totally excited about the weather effects and have been following this pretty carefully, and so far I don't think anyone from Blizzard has stated that weather is in 1.9, either in a thread or at the convention.
I'm not sure if they know yet, but they definitely haven't said it on the record anywhere.
Unless I'm wrong?

Many people take any thing that any of us say, and claim it as truth no matter what we say. While that does make things interesting on the boards, it does make it confusing for some people who do not know that they are rumors only. We are not in the habit of releasing information before it has been posted on our website, but we do try to give out tid-bits of information here and there if we can.
Weather, however, is not one of the things we can hint to just yet. As Caydiem said, the few times I have seen it makes me want it to go live as soon as possible, but I must wait just like the rest of you.

You are right, Hogan. When we say that something is coming up, or that it is being tested, that does not necessarily mean it will be in the next patch. Often times things get pulled at the last minute due to a bug that needs to be fixed, or something else of higher priority needs to take its place. It is because of those situations that we are hesitant to mention anything about upcoming changes or additions for fear of it not making our predicted date.
