I'm starting to really get annoyed at all the people who are saying that the casual player shouldn't really get quality items because they don't deserve it. I, the casual player, apparently didn't work hard enough to get the shiny purple item. That my $45 quad-annually as a casual player doesn't automatically give me the same opportunities as a $45 quad-annually hardcore l33t raid player. I'd say what I really want to to that statement, but that would require me to go into several other languages in order to get past the stupid language filter.
Fine
I, as the casual player, apparently don't need the nice pretty epics.
Then I demand that the end game dungeons be balanced to be beat by a correct numbered group of people in blues.
I'd just like to be able to actually see and stand a chance against Ony without all this 'you need to have MC gear in order to stand a chance'. Or those big elite green dragons guarding the Emerald Dream. I really only play each instance once, so I can have the experience of the storyline and the new content. I find continuous raiding for items boring. I quit earlier this year because I had done everything I had wanted to do. I created this new account so I could experience the new stuff, and I am highly disappointed. i can't experience new content because I have to be a cog in an MC farming machine in order to get the gear that makes the dungeon doable. I certainly don't think this is what Blizzard planned when it added MC and BWL, at least I hope not.
Epics should make the characters life easier, and maybe cause the player to think about the class in a new way. They should not be requirements for doing content. If this trend continues, It might be necessary soon for a character to have a "Legendary" in order to complete content. This just does not seem right to me.
Does it seem right to you Blizzard.
i will also being putting this in the Suggestion forum[ post edited by Corteiss ]

It is possible to play the end game content without being decked out in uber gear. When players first reached the end game, they did not have the best gear, that is why they went to the end game dungeons. There are many dungeons in the game starting from your early teens all the way through level 60, all with varying degrees of difficulty. Once you hit level 60, you can go to Dire Maul which only requires 5 people in a group, or Blackrock Depths, Scholomance, and Stratholme. Each of those dungeons does not take all day to complete, and the smaller groups have a more challenging encounter but a better chance to split the loot that drops.
My Priest is level 60, and I have been grinding for reputation with various factions. During my grinds, I have found a few random Epic drops, all of which have been while I was soloing. I do not have as much time as I would like to play, but that does not mean I don't have access to gear that will let me play and be competitive.
It was also mentioned above that skill does play a great part in PvP and even PvE content. The best gear does make battling easier, but it is certainly not required until you reach the highest end dungeons like Blackwing Lair.
This is fun, yah?
