Sure, they're all over. They swoop in and steal what they want, run away and live to steal another day. It's safe to say we've all encountered one in our experiences in Azeroth, right?
CMs:
You're in Stratholme Baron side. You've done Strath so much that you can tell everyone Baron Rivendare's underwear size. You finally get there, defeat baron and that set piece you've been wanting forever finally drops, only to be swooped from you by the Raid leader *on purpose*.
Just how would a CM react when something they needed is taken from them unfairly??

I've been in a number of groups where items went to players that they shouldn't have. Whether or not this was done in error, or simply played off that way after the fact - I'll never know for certain and can only ever speculate. It's frustrating to say the least, especially when it was the exclusive item that you were running the instance to obtain.
Concerning my reaction to this type of occurance, I've never "freaked out" on someone for doing this if that's what you're wondering. There is quite simply no point once the item is lost to you as the damage is irreversible. I make mental note of the person as to not group with them in the future, and depending upon the item in question - lay down on the cold tile of my kitchen floor and cry.
