Just out of curiosity; is there an official posting of the which 5 movies won the Blizzcon movie competition? Also, is there a place I can download and see them?
Thanks!

Er...
...so my flat-out statement that I have and Eyonix's post-movie comment of "There there, my darlings" wasn't an admission, eh? ;)

Q u o t e: As part of the prize, Blizzard should add a questline based on "Return."
Well, if we did that, we'd have to do it for all the winners, eh?
"Find the Tiny Man and hit him with the Mysterious Rainbow Trout."
"Throw the mysterious bottle that took all your gear into the deepest part of the Vile Reef in Stranglethorn Vale."

Q u o t e: Zinwrath should have won.
The Return was well done, but your average storyline done a billion tiems for WoW just with impressive production quality.
Zinwrath was unique, well done, and just a more entertaining movie overall. Well done.
As has been stated, Zinwrath and Return were rated equally in the contest. It's naturally understandable that you'd prefer one over the other, and no one's faulting you for that. :)
As one of the judges (the primary one, as I was tasked with watching every entry... we whittled it down in stages, with more and more people watching, until we got to the five chosen), I can tell you that I've seen a lot of World of Warcraft machinima. I've been watching the player-created movies since before launch, and I enjoy them immensely.
The movies in question -- Return and Zinwrath -- both had different goals in storytelling. They were after a different audience, and sought to stir different emotions. Both were successful in their aim, with fabulous cinematography, intriguing storytelling, and exquisite post-production/editing work.
All winners deserved the award for a plethora of reasons, and those listed are all "first place" winners. :)[ post edited by Caydiem ]

Q u o t e: Why are all the winners alliance videos?
No horde made videos I guess, or did you just decide we aren't pretty enough to win a contest.
I judged on merit as a whole rather than paying attention to what faction was spotlighted in a given video.
There were some well done Horde videos as well, but none of them quiiiiite made the cut when it came to quality. I would rather give awards to the five best videos in general than grant one or two to the Horde for "faction fairness".

So basically, toss out the rules but dont' tell anyone. I wonder how many more people would have participated had you ANNOUNCED that you were removing the 25 meg limit requirement. I know I talked to multiple people who said they weren't going to bother since the rules required the final size be less than 25 megs. It was a good idea to change this rule, bit was a very very bad idea to do it without telling anyone.
I posted the high-quality versions, but I assure you, all the ones I watched were under 25 megs.
When it came time to feature the movies for BlizzCon, however, I found the high quality versions for as many as I could. I wanted 'em to look their best. :)
