Subject: Paladins - From tame Knights to awed Templars |

Paladins - Azeroth's classic knights of the Light. Though a class based on faith, the tones of religion in Paladins have always been very tame. They are truely the morale hand of the world, driven by that morality opposed to blind religion. However such tameness has made them susceptible to change. An awed dark potrait will always sustain a perception of power longer than a potrait of kind heart. Over the last two years their proud visage has diminished and they rarely draw respect or awe in this age. I believe this will change with their new Epic armor.

I am immediatly reminded of the visage of a classic zealous templar, the fanatical fist of religious retribution - the hand of "Judgement". No world camptures this better than the gothic world of Warhammer 40,000 with its zealous Inquisition. Art best potrays their obsessive faith better than any words.

Though of different settings both are heavy in traits of classic-gothic laden with obsessive and forceful religion.
As of now our holy-warriors draw little awe, unlike tauren Warlords or orcs of Wrath. The opposite is often the case; they are often mocked by their brethren for wielding coveted two-handed weapons, and looked down upon by Horde who perceive them to be nothing but annoying and very persistant ants.
The perception of Paladins will be affected by the Judgement sect. The world won't change nor will their power on a battlefield, but half of perception is aesthetic. The new Judgement armor surrounds our Paladins in a new aura, one of classic-gothic laden in zealous power and forceful religion. Though extreme based on Warcraft lore I believe such measures are neccesary to return Paladins to awed glory.[ post edited by Kyan ]
