Subject: Contest Issue.. Blizz read.
Uhm ok ya, this is bs. i was really looking forward to this Halloween Screenshot contest as i was reading i was like oh ya this should be fun, i had an awsome idea of what to do and what not. as i read on i click nxt to submit my pic and what does it say? Restricted to US only that is bs we all pay for the game every screenshot contest i wanted to sign up for was only for Us, this is lame and stupid/racist to us ppl who dont live there. If its a shipment problem then that is a total joke, cause you guys make millions. I think you guys should change this cause not EVERYONE that plays WoW lives in USA.

Contest laws. They exist, and they have very specific restrictions regarding the nature of the contest, the net worth of the prizes being awarded, and all manner of other technicalities. As such, there are legal issues barring us from Canada, in your case, and other countries. Two states in the US are ineligible as well due to the same basic reason (different laws, but same cause).

Q u o t e:
Caydiem... as a Floridian, what laws specificaly mess with the ability of you being able to have contests here? What would it take for me to be able to take action to have these laws changed? Also, why is it that people like Coke, Pepsi and M&M are able to have nationwide contests, while you guys arent? (I dont mean this to flame, I'm just curious)

As I understand it, larger companies are able to meet the requirements of the laws, whereas smaller companies may not be able to without a great deal of trouble. IANAL (I am not a lawyer), and cannot speak as to the specific laws preventing us running contests in Florida.
