Ok, this is NOT a whine about PvP, tho on a side note without any real Dishonor as promised int he manual, it wears real thing being ganked by others 20+ levels over you.
Well what I would like to do is what we used to do in Ultima Online. HIDE IN THE BUSHES. You could do this because you did not have a huge glowing tag with your name over your head. It was great, if you chose earth tones for your clothes and positioned yourself right you could hide from others and use that to either stay safe or surprise them.
Attempting to hide in WoW is a complete joke. My name shows as Bright Blood Red to all alliance so even if I manage to position myself, I cannot get away from the name tag.
I propose a 'HIDE' function, something everyone has, not just a few. The only thing it would do is temporarily remove your name tag from view by other players and freeze you in place. The moment you move or do *any* action at all the tag is replaced.
The idea is I could go into an area and potentially keep from being ganked by using the local flora and fauna to disgusise myself. On the other hand It would lend to setting up ambushes and actually give more to PvP than it would take away.
Well? Thoughts???

The name tag, why is it here? What is the question to the ultimate answer? These questions have been plaguing Azeroth since well before the Dark Portal was opened. I spoke with the developers to see what they had to say on these touchy subjects, and here is what they said.
The name tag floating above players heads is there for protection of sorts. While it does make hiding and setting up ambushes difficult, it does create a fair playing field for all. If we removed it, some unscrupulous players would eventually make a mod to make them show up, and that would make it unfair for players that didn't have the mod to compete with them. So to keep things fair, the tags will stay.
The other questions was too deep, and moving to be typed out in any mortal language.
