Why can't I Cannibalize members of my own faction anymore? I think I remember that I used to be able to do that, and now I cannot.
This should be changed. Since WotF got a nerf but Cannibalize got a buff, this would be a perfect opportunity to have the Undead class improve its efficiency in PvE, and not just PvP.
If the Undead are able to eat their allies, then it means at least one less mana sink after the group wipes, in a situation where time is of the essence. Additionally, a fallen comrade will have become less of a burden on the flow of the group if they are able to be consumed for health, thus improving the overall efficiency of the group.
In addition to this amendment, may I suggest giving Cannibalize the ability to restore mana as well? Most Undead are caster classes, and with all the competition of other classes, and the perceived incompetence of Undead because of an influx of poor-quality UD Rogues messing up the board for the rest of us...
Well, the ability to restore mana through cannibalism would make Undead moreso soughtafter caster for their ability to more easily recover from a bad situation such as a wipe.
A Priest can use a soulstone to revive himself, and then eat a fallen teammate for the mana cost needed to revive that teammate. Or another class resurrects the priest, and after having a brief meal, could instantly jump-to and assist the resurrecting class with returning the group to normal. At only a 2 minute cooldown, mana regen from Cannibalize could save precious moments of conjuring and drinking water, or the trouble of waiting because the casters are out of water. All in all, the group will move faster.
The mana regen should be significantly larger than the 35% health regen, for those who cannot afford large mana pools.
The human body is 80% water, so why shouldn't Cannibalize regain mana for the caster? And why, since the bodies of friendly factioneers are no less physiologically edible than those of the enemy, can we not partake in the bountiful feast laid out after a major wipe, when healing is the most important thing of all?
This is not a complaint or an argument, this is simply a modest proposal.
