Soulstones should allow you to position and find a safe place within a radius around the corpse the same way wisp-form allows you to find a safe spot.

Soulstones act differently than turning you into a ghost, and letting you run back to your body. A Soulstone stores your soul, and restores it to you if you die. You do not get a choice of where to go because you are not a ghost, you are simply having your soul placed back in your body where you fell.
