okay noob question, why is there a guy in orgrimmar that wants 60 wool? Being low level I was wondering if I should spend the gold to buy some from the auction house. Does it give a good xp reward or something like that?
I also noticed that when I went to the undercity that there is a npc there asking for the same thing.
I would slap you but poo splatters...

Galthragar is correct, the NPC you are talking about is the one who can raise your faction with the said city. At first he needs you to bring him the Wool, after that you can start turning in stacks of Runecloth. It takes a while, but eventually you can become exalted with the city which enables you to learn how to ride, and purchase, the race specific mount.
