Alot of people have been talking about causual players not deserving epics, and everyone says that blizzard has been biased towards giving hardcore players all the better items. Actually blizzard has been favoring the "NO LIFE HARD CORES". There is another class of hard core players but they play and odd schedules and split up there time. However, you will find these types of hard core players are playing almost every available moment. The "NO LIFE HARD CORE PLAYERS" dont have jobs and play off the mom's credit card and live at mom's house. Blizzard just needs to provide a way for the "HARDCORE's WITH A LIFE" the means with which to earn good rewards. For Example, 5 man instances that are saved, mini molten cores that have randomized challenges so that there is no set strategy to beat it, and if you whipe it resets. A mini molten core would be "HARD CORE FOR SURE" But organizing the time when you want to go would be much more accessible, cause you dont have to worry about getting together 40 people that want to raid during the day for 8 hours, and thus taking your whole freaking day in one setting. A "NO LIFE HARD CORE" player does 8 hour stretches in one setting to get his phat epic loot. It would be nice if the "HARDCORE WITH A LIFE" could spend 4 hours take a break for 2 or 3 hours then go back for another 4 hours and have achieved the same thing.

World of Warcraft is like most other things in life; the more you put into it, the more you get out of it. If you do not have hours upon hours to devote to the game, you are still able to have fun, make friends, and get good gear. The game does not have to revolve around raiding the toughest dungeons, getting the phatest lewt, killing the biggest bad guys. All of that is fun, but there is more to the game. A couple examples are:
PvP - Join a group for battlegrounds, start up a raid on the other faction, take over a bridge or a road. In future patches we are going to be adding more outside PvP objectives for those that don't want to zone into a battleground.
RP - The heart of the game is that you assume the role of your character, and immerse yourself in a fantasy world. If you don't want to spend all your time in dungeons, create a character on a role playing realm and join a role playing guild. I am a part of one, and it is a blast! I have just as much fun getting into character and sharing tales, as I do fighting.
