Subject: Toggleable shoulders?
You made cloaks and helmets toggleable. Are there any plans to make shoulders toggleable as well?

I'm glad some one said it. I'm a tailor and therfore have the ability to make some nice shirts, yet despite being a dark and mysterious Warlock, I have to walk around in a pretty dress.

So, not only do you want toggleable shoulders, but you want toggleable chest-pieces, as well. How is this not a slippery slope?

First off, the slippery slope comment I referenced earlier is in regard to what changes we make to the game based on player feedback. Originally, you could not toggle helms and capes. Now you can. Now people are asking for other things to be toggleable, and so forth. That is all I'm really referring to.

-From an RP perspective my character would not wear a dress if he had a choice.

In an RP context, you have a choice. Many RPers have alternate wardrobes which they choose to taste.

I'm not really sure what to say in regards to specifics on your other points, so I will leave you with this.

We want to provide things players like. We can and have offered elements and changes based on player feedback. However, when it comes to matters of aesthetics, the turning point is subjectivity. Trash to one is treasure to another.
This is not to say a change like the one(s) requested won't ever happen. However, whether or not you take pride in our aesthetic choices, we do. Our artists put a lot of work into various designs in the game and casually tossing out the opinion that "some of these designs suck" is a tad bit crass and thoughtless. There should be moments in the game where, we as a company, stand for the design theme we have established. You may not love every last little detail, but it is the product of someone's labor and should be respected as such.

I don't really think it's fair for you to say, paraphrasing, "We like our design, and since we worked hard on it, it's all you get, and that should be respected" when, clearly, some people are going to think it's ugly, no matter what they think of the designers or how much they respect them. Respect doesn't make something look good, and it's hardly unreasonable to say so and want something different. It's hardly thoughtless or crass to say you don't like something just because someone worked on it, to be sure, and it's CERTAINLY not when how *each individual player* wants her character to look is important to her play, and is only given one option to do so that has the stats they're looking for.

Your paraphrasing is a little off the mark, as even in synopsis, I never said "it's all you get". As for people actually respecting the work involved, that was simply a point I was making sure was clear, as the general tenor of the forums doesn't clearly indicate that.

The original subject has been brought up before and is in fact being considered. I appreciate your take on it and understand that others share your views. The point I provided was simply something to think about while decisions are made.
