Three friends and I were waiting for our respective paydays to buy our Blizzcon tickets. When we realized that the last of these days would be October 10th (thank you government job), I was going to comp for that ticket and just be paid back on the 10th, which means we were going to buy tickets on the next farthest payday, wich was today.
Just as I enter the number of tickets, though, I go to the SOLD OUT screen.
I am wondering: are there any definitive plans to release more tickets? I did a little research (in between bouts of unsuccessfully searching for tickets on third-party ticket sites and eBay) on the Anaheim Convention Center website and found that only two other events are running at the same time. Unless they are more popular than I give them credit for, or Blizzard decided to rent every other avilable space, then that means there are other spaces avilable.
Though I am speaking on behalf of only four voices, I can definitely say we represent an ongoing demand for more tickets to be released. If the maximum amount of tickets have been released for the space rented (meaning Fire Marshal/ Convention center/ Insurance maximum minus the amount of workers), is Blizzard considering renting more space?
Are there any definitive future plans to release more tickets (repeated intentionally)? If so, are dates going to be announced or am I going to grow bug-eyed at constantly updating the same "SOLD OUT" window every half-hour until they are? If not, are their any proactive steps that can be taken by those without to prove the demand for more tickets would be profitable?
