bad idea.
Blizzcon attendees are on average a regional bunch, and many of the worst problems in WoW have to do with lag and general internet connectivity.
I hope Blizzard has already considered that a beta test without east coast players isn't really a beta test at all.

I suggest you don't count your chickens before they're hatched. ;)
1) There are east coast folks attending BlizzCon.
2) We are giving away beta slots to an upcoming product; that does not mean that said beta will only consist of BlizzCon attendees.
