Please explain how this mechanic works, more then half of your playerbase that plays casting classes, from
Mages,
Warlocks,
Priests,
Druids,
Shamans,
Paladins, and perhaps even hunters (Not sure whether stings are considered spellcasting) want to know how the +hit with spells mechanic works.
How does it work on a target with 0 resist, 100, 315, etc etc, break down into: % to take 100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, 0% damage.
Say, with 100 resists (made up numbers)
50% to take 100%
10% to take 75%
10% to take 50%
10% to take 25%
20% to resist completely
Now we add +10% hit, what does it look like, +20% hit.. ? etc etc.
Hit and crit gear?
Is it capped?
Please answer kindly, there was a post on the rogue forms about how +crit and +hit for melee classes worked, why can't arguably an even larger playerbase get a similar question answered?
Yes, Level 60 Human Female Mage, Shattered Hand.

I provided a fairly detailed explanation of +Spell Hit Chance in a post yesterday, however, I didn't immediately sticky the thread as often times new posts based on hot topics are noticed easier with the blue blizzard tag appearing to the left. In any case, it's stickied now, and can be found at the link below.
