Subject: Racial Skill and Equip skill bonus. How? |

I had assumed that with the gathering skill bonus from equipment, that it ment you could gather from a souce that was +# of your current skill.. Meaning if say you went to a Tin ore, which requires 65 skill to mine, and you had a 60 skill in mining, that gloves with +5 to mining would allow you to mine that Tin.
I am not sure if THAT is how it works, or if it just means you get a better chance of gaining skill while perferoming the mining. Which one is it?

In your analogy with the tin ore, yes you are correct. You would be able to mine it. However, your success of gaining something (ore) is not guaranteed.
