Subject: A question about Blizzard Contests
I am curious why there are contests advertised on a webpage that services all of North America, New Zealand and Australia but the contest only awards prizes to US residents?

Is there a valid reason for this? I remember the first screenshot contest. I took some wicked screenshots but when I went to submit them I saw that only submissions from residents of the US were to be considered. I am a Canadian and found this somewhat disturbing. I recognize that the US comprises the largest population of subscribers but shouldn't my $15 per month allow me to particpate as well?

I doubt I will get any real answer but I thought I would ask anyways.

There are a great deal of laws surrounding contests depending on country and state. The reason why it's only open to US residents (and even then, not every state) is a legal one.
