Okay this morning I woke up, saw the maintenence thing at 7am, figured patch was finally being released, etc...
I come home from work, and before I load WoW - I hop over to Filefront (where I usually manually d/l the patch and save to my HD) and viola! There is the patch, ready to D/L and install...
Which I do... and then load up to see that I have an incompatible version...
Hrmm this is weird.
Ah well, the old reliable fix - Delete WDB abd WTF folders, log in, log out, replace with backed up WDB and WTF folders... all is well.
I am able to log in, but the game version is still 1.6.1..... and of cours eno new content is in.
SO - now I am starting to worry if the patch I downloaded was not real, maybe it is stealing my account info.... maybe my HD is rampant with virii..
So - Blizz... I now know you have not officially released the 1.7 patch - BUT... can you at least tell me if this website has an authentic patch?

Please respond Blizz if you can...
Also, beyond changing my password, what else can/should be done to revert my system back to before I downloaded and installed this mystery patch.

We do not upload our patches to Filefront at this time, to my knowledge... so in the future, please don't use that site to get your patches. ;) [ post edited by Caydiem ]
