I'm new to RPG
So naturally I have a question that will be flamed by the trollers and flamers we see here all the time. The good thing is, that once in a while, we get someone who takes your questions seriously, ignores typos and misspelled words and answers the question in a constructive informative manner.
Question:
In Roleplaying realms, guys that play girls,
Are they treated as girls?
Do they expect to be treated as girls?
or..
do they get angry when they are treated as girls.
Do they say, "If you know I'm a guy, why are u still calling me sweetheart and asking me to dance?"
It is roleplaying right?
How is this handled, I'm just curious, I have a right to be, and am asking this as a serious question.
This may be a dead horse to some, but I really, really haven't seen a thread on this issue, the search feature here is dumb. If anyone can provide a link, instead of mindless trolling, that would be wonderful.

This is a dead horse, but I'll allow the discussion provided it remain civil and constructive.
I have observed through my many years of playing these games that treating an individual as the gender they've chosen to use is your best bet, provided you know nothing about the player behind the character. Neutral statements tend to work best all around if you're unsure and don't want to offend.
As a female who often uses a male character, I find it tremendously amusing when "female" characters become overly flirtatious with me. If they only knew. ;)

I will admit my penchant for playing male characters tends to cause slightly more of a problem when I'm playing tabletop. Watching my party stumble over "she-he-sh-dammit" is very funny, though. ;)
