It's not a matter of "can we do it", but rather "should we do it?" Honestly, I don't believe it would benefit much.
The lore is there and people do enjoy discussing it, but would there be enough discussion to warrant an entire forum around it? When we already have both the General and Role Playing forums, the answer is, "Probably not." Similar to individual Profession forums, while there would be some activity, there probably would not be enough to warrant yet another forum to moderate.
And this is coming from someone who greatly enjoys discussing lore, folks. I understand where you're coming from, but I don't see us creating a Lore Forum anytime soon.

If something is supposedly cared about very little by the playerbase, where then is the reasoning for an entire forum dedicated to it, since it clearly won't have much activity? ;)

I know you folks have a great time discussing the lore, but I'll be honest -- there would not be enough traffic nor enough consistent, varied activity for a forum to be warranted at this point. And you know I've been in a good number of the lore threads myself; I know the community that's after this. ;)
RPPvP realms were asked for by a great number of people since launch -- not quite the same thing. ;)

How do I know?
It is my job to monitor these forums and what the community discusses. The Raid and Dungeons forum, for example, was added a bit after the fact due to the percentage of the community that discussed them in other forums, consistently and at length.
I'm not saying that there never will be a Lore forum, but I am saying that until I see a need for it based on my observations of the forum, I will not recommend one be made.

Spamming the forum would not be the best way to go about this. Understand that I'm not stupid and would be predicting such a movement; the way the choice comes about is in consistent posts over an extended period, not a flood in one day. :P

I read it. As I said, I will continue to monitor the community as I always do. If a Lore forum is warranted, I'll request one from the Web Team, but not until then.
