I was just wondering if Blizzard has reinvested some of the extra unexpected windfall on expanding their WoW creative teams. I mean besides the initial "Oh Crap! We have a runaway hit with WoW and are not really prepared for it." hirings.
I guess what I'm really trying to say is that costs shouldn't really be a consideration in increasing the frequency of developing new content and upgrades. Meaning if you hire more people you should be able to tackle more issues.

Yes, we're hiring quite a bit... but developers don't precisely grow on trees. It's different than staffing, say, a call center. ;)

Q u o t e: Thanks for the answer Cay here is another. When you finally fill up the positions where you will be satisfied that they can meet the demands, what will content patch look like? Will it be monthly? What would it typically contain?
That's something that will be known only when we have the staff in place. ;)
And our janitorial staff is not technically under Blizzard payroll, but is a service crew. Sorry. :P
