Ok, here's something I don't understand. In TFT, the endgame cinematics show the fight between Illidan and Arthas. And in that fight Arthas defeats Illidan, and it shows Illidan lying on the ground, pratically split down the middle by the large gash that is pertruding from his chest. He's not moving, so to me this clearly shows him as being dead.
However, in your storyline that is provided on this website, it's stated:
"Even weakened as he was, Arthas ultimately outmaneuvered Illidan and reached the Frozen Throne first. ... Illidan and his troops were forced to flee back to Outland in disgrace, while Arthas became one of the most powerful entities the world had ever known."
This says nothing of the two fighting and says how Illidan retreats back to Outland... so he survived? Why was this not mentioned in TFT?
So my question is this: Which one is true? TFT shows him dead, but the storyline says he's alive...[ post edited by Denethule ]

TFT shows him defeated and wounded.
That does not necessarily mean dead, particularly not for one so powerful as Illidan...
