Hi, I have never been seriously involved in the forums (I only skim them here and there) because I've always been a skeptic about how much the development team actually listens to people's ideas for the game. I just wanted to know if i could have some links to some threads that show ideas that have been proposed in the past (wild original ones) that have been implemented into a patch in the past.

Here are a few examples of changes made to the game through player feedback.
- The upcoming Dressing Room feature
- Auto-shoot for wands
- Quest tracker in the default UI
- New, more convenient graveyards and flight paths
- Improved raid UI
- Removing rank restrictions on keeping PvP Honor rewards
- Dire Maul (in regards to players wanting more difficult, high-end 5-man dungeons)
There is a great deal more, but those are just a few off the top of my head. :)[ post edited by Caydiem ]

The Camp Taurajo flight path was added as an example. Also, some flight paths were indeed straightened out a bit.

Q u o t e: Hey, can you please lie more? How about all the player feedback about a hair/face editor for your character, I've never seen a suggestion post about this "Pretty Pretty Princess" wardrobe design thing, and about 100 about hair/face changes.
What about the feedback to fix your server for once? Archimonde crashes about once a day or has insane friggin' lag.
Fix the servers before putting money into lame crap please.
Nothing I stated was a lie. The individual asked for examples of player suggestions or feedback that we implemented into the game. Every last item I named -- and more, which I'm working on compiling still -- were implemented due to player feedback.
We are constantly working on realm issues. The development team does not take resources away from the server team -- both teams can work on things simultaneously.

To those who state that these issues were not asked for by players...
With all due respect, it is my job to read these forums and take feedback to the developers. I assure you, every single one of the items named were asked for, at length, by the playerbase.
Many of you are bringing up other points, either of changes to the game that negatively affected you or other suggestions you want to see implemented. Understand that, while I do take your suggestions to the developers, they are allowed to say, "Not now," or simply, "No." They change the game based on what they feel is best for it in the long term. Now, they do listen, but just because your suggestion is heard does not necessarily mean it's next up on the development list.
This thread was asking for examples of what was implemented due to player feedback -- examples -- and I gave them. These are not the only things we've changed due to player feedback; I'm in the process of compiling the list, actually. They weren't asking for a comprehensive list, just examples.

Q u o t e: Cay,
Thanks for your comments here, and for putting up with so much on a daily basis. There have been a number of long posts about the big nerf to invulnerable mail. I do not want to go into all of the perspectives that are all over the boards again on this thread.
This thread is about CM's listening and taking comments to the Dev's. My question to you is have the Devs heard the points raised on the posts related to the nerf of that epic item? Is that customer feedback being considered?
It is hard to tell since no responses from CM's have ever been made on any of those posts. I have presumed that means that the nerf is being assessed now, and their is no conclusion yet. But it is hard for us to tell what it means.
Waiting two weeks for a response to an item that took its owners 2 months of hard work to get causes some anxiety.
I am not whining here. I have done that elsewhere. We would like to know the status, if you can comment at this time.
Thanks.
The feedback has been heard, but as I said, hearing and understanding the concerns does not necessarily lead to them changing it back if they believe the change is still for the best as a whole.

I think we all just want you to consider that it is easy to say "Hey, we just shortened the proc and let your attacks go through as an offset". But considering the way the item is used, the change from the nerf is much more fundamental.
But I really appreciate your response.
Remember that the developers have high-level characters and play the game quite often, so they're not exactly ignorant when it comes to the playstyles in the game. ;)
