-New soundtrack that of course is available at your online store.
-dressing room feature which is more apropiate for the SIMS not wow
-Wallpapers
-Trading card game
-the release of new servers, btw is a great mistake and loss of manpower that could have been working on something else.
All these things dont make the game more fun, they dont add more content and they definetly dont make the servers run better.
When are you going to FOCUS on the important issues?
Server stability, features promised at launch and still not implemented,MORE Content, revamp of the professions.
These are just to name a few.
So how about it? will you for once start focusing on more important matters or is this going to be your atttitude all the time?

It's a darn good thing the Web Team (that updates you with important information when there's information to give, and also happens to work on the wallpapers), Server Team (not developers, but technicians who release new realms based on capacity needs -- and yes, we did need them), and Upper Deck (the fine folks developing the CCG) aren't responsible for new content, then, hm?
The designers have been and continue to work on new content. The Dressing Room feature, while not appealing to you, perhaps, is something that many people asked for. The class designers are hard at work on the classes. The dungeon designers are busy with their latest project. The list goes on. We have separate teams for separate portions of the game, and all are working on their appropriate chunk o' game.
You are paying $15 a month to access the World of Warcraft game, at the heart of it -- and we are working to improve said game, but the class designers are not spending their days working on wallpapers. The dungeon designers didn't take time out of their day to make the Dressing Room feature. The server technicians are constantly working on improving realm performance.

Q u o t e: Caydiem, are steps being taken to improve the performance of the auction house and in game mail, and the servers in general?
The last sentence of my post says that yes, that is something we're working on. ;)

Q u o t e: separate teams?
problem is a large number of the playerbase WOULD prefer not to have wallpapers, not to have a card game, not to have technicians release new servers(prove me caydiem that we needed new servers) and would prefer that you dedicate more staff to things that really matter.
I can't release the numbers, as that's something I'm not allowed to do, but I hope you'll take this as proof: the server technicians monitor realm population very closely, and also know how many more boxes are out there being bought. They release more realms when the capacity needs to be increased, and that's what they've done. Now, there are some overpopulated realms out there, which we do work to resolve through transfers; more options may be available soon. They do not, however, release realms if they feel the current realm lineup can support the population both today and in the near future.
Everyone's job here at Blizzard matters in some capacity, though you may not realize it. It takes a lot of work to keep everything surrounding the game as well as the game itself running and current. We can't dedicate current staff -- who may not be trained in the areas for which you're demanding more attention -- to other areas.
As far as hiring new people, however...

Q u o t e: Thats greats news then the server better not go down any more as I am paying $15 a month to access it.... Haha thanks for that great information. By the way it would be nice if the Worldofwarcraft.com site didn't go down everytime the servers crash.
From the EULA. (Apologies for the caps, but that's how it is in the document.)

Q u o t e: Caydiem, WHO exactly asked for a dressing room feature? I've never heard anyone request such a thing EVER. That's the problem when the devs have absolutely no contact with the players...it's idiotic. It's a complete waste of coding in my opinion, and useless. If there's an amazing item you want and it looks ugly, IT DOESN'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE you will still wear it. I've been wearing the Gordok Gauntlets for months, and they look like purple oven mits, but the stats are great so I wear them anyways.
The only reason the dressing system would be useful is if there was a dye system in place and we could change the colour of our items through dye. That way, previewing it through the dressing room would make sense. But as it is now, the dressing room feature is a complete joke and embarassment on blizzard, just like these "EPIC" events we've been getting.
I'm sorry if you missed the countless threads stating "I bought this item on the Auction House but it looks awful; wish I'd known that before I equipped it." The sentiment has been expressed by many ever since the game first launched. If you don't care because the stats are great, that's fine -- the Dressing Room doesn't much matter to you as a player. It does matter to the folks who do care about their character's look, and yes, there are a number of players out there that do care about their appearance.
We're not just catering to your playstyle, Axoran. :)
