Subject: Character account switch
This is probably really dumb and/or futile to ask, but I need a Blizz rep's response.

My roomate and I play on the same account on the same computer, but we're getting another computer and another WoW account soon. I was wondering if it would be possible to have a server moderater (whatever you call yourselves) switch my roomate's characters to his new account if we provide certain matching account info (address, phone #, etc.) so he wouldn't have to start his high level characters all over again. We'd (obviously) stay on the same server.

Starting over again can be fun, but that's days of time and effort being nullified. It would also be pretty neat to be able to run the high end instances, bg's, etc. with my roomate too, without having to wait weeks or even months for him to catch back up to do so.

If not, I guess we'll just cut our losses.

As of right now, it's not possible to move characters from one account to another. I actually have a couple of friends that are in a very similar situation as your own. The only thing I can advise you, which is what I advised them is to make new characters for when you wish to play together, and play your existing characters when either of you are playing alone (or feel compelled). Down the road, it may be possible that we offer individual account character transfers, but I don't have any information to provide at the moment.
