As a player from Quebec (In Canada), I always though we could have at least one server which would be for french people.
After almost 9 months and 40 new servers, no one was created for french players.
As part of the North American players, I think we should at least get one French server (by the way that players that would join speak french. No need to have the "french version" of the game.) because, as you probably know, we've got lot of players...
It's useless in fact to create a Normal or PvP French Server as most of us can speak english but when roleplaying, it's harder for us to speak properly and say the right words while talking with our character (and answer with a decent speed).
So, in my opinion, Blizz should look forward a new French RP server for all Roleplayers around here who speak french.

There are no plans to make a North American French realm, regardless of ruleset, at this time.

It is not currently cost-efficient to hire the support necessary (and yes, support would be necessary) to accomodate a French realm of any kind. That would require support personnel fluent in the French language to handle policy violations.
As I understand it, we do offer both the North American and French versions of the game in Quebec for just this reason. They have support for the language in Europe in all aspects.[ post edited by Caydiem ]

I honestly do not care about having a french srv, however, it is illegal in quebec to offer a product and NOT make it available in french.
technically to be legal , Wow should have north american copies available in french, with a french instruction manual, a french website, a french server, a french billing/support phone number etc etc....
im not requesting anything here, but just pointing out some facts.
Oh and please stop with the "surrender" jokes.
French canadian are completly distinct from France since 1760, which is a few years BEFORE the U.S. became independant from the british
World of Warcraft is offered in French in Quebec. The French version (available in Quebec) connects to the European realms, where there is full French language support.

Please use the English language when posting here. We cannot moderate posts in other languages -- if you wish to get your point across, it's best if you use the language in which we're fluent. My French is rather poor, I'm afraid.
