Dear Blizzard,
I am writting this as a plea and request for Blizzard to help out it's customer base more. The vast number of MMO's on the current market, and the multitude of them on the horizon make it imperative for you to inform your consumers more about certain things.
I believe Blizzard has made an excellent game, and actually listened to its playerbase alot in regards to game mechanics and balance. What I ask is for more information to be forthcoming on the future, and not just 2 patches away.
Everquest 2 has been out for a bit longer then World of Warcraft has. They have added content at a rapid rate, added features and have had server issues worked out very well. This is not a discussion about how bad or good EQ2 is, opinions will vary of course.
World of Warcraft is almost a year into release. Server issues are still rampant on many realms. Content is added at a slower rate, but much faster now then before I will say. Balance issues are worked on well for the most part. We still have no word on an expansion which would be a welcome bit of information to hear about. We have no word on when Hero classes will enter the game. Will their be new playable races, classes ? New lands to explore , ability to dye armor ? These are features and ideas that many players would love to hear about.
I enjoy this game alot. I only get to play about 4 days a week solid. I ask only that Blizzard be more forthcoming with information, and giving its playerbase something to look forward to, something to be excited about. People don't want to wait 2 years these days for a first expansion. It is a difficult market with many choices now, information is key to this success. I will keep playing because I enjoy this game alot. I simply ask that you as a company help us all out more and give us more information instead of saying "in development" .

Our Under Development page has all the information we are able to give you about upcoming content, changes, etc. Blizzard has always been very secretive about what is down the road, and I don't think we will be changing that policy anytime soon.
