Subject: Blizcon attendees get into Expansion beta...
Ok get the firetruck here come the flames. In SWG when they said those that went to fanfest would get to Beta JTL first, people went ballistic.

I can't imagine the uproar on these boards. All the, it isn't fair they get in just cause I can't go to wherever blizzcon is.

Beta-Test Access Code
In addition to making you the proud owner of a bouncing baby murloc, the souvenir gift card you receive will also contain an access code for an upcoming Blizzard beta test. Once you receive the card, you'll be able to visit a Blizzard Web site, enter the code, and sign up to be contacted when the upcoming beta test is ready for you to join. While beta tests give us a chance to fine-tune our work, they also provide the unique opportunity of allowing participants to try out and give feedback on a Blizzard title before it becomes available to the general public.

In general I think this is a fine and fair marketing idea. But man, is it gonna piss people off.

The site says you will get "an access code for an upcoming Blizzard beta test." An upcoming beta test is just that, upcoming. We did not say what beta it would be for.
