Before i begin let me say that i truthfully do not mind giving out water or food on my mage... and i do not mind opening lock boxes for people it comes with the profession its free for me to do these things and i can do it in a few seconds easily... first thing i do when i log on with my mage is fill up 2 bags with water and food and i normally just pass that out to people when they ask for it...
but getting to the point of the post..
the last few weeks i have noticed something that i am really getting tired of.. ill be doing something in org usually minding my own business or doing a trade with someone.. when all of a sudden someone will come out of no where and shove a trade window in my face with a lock box in it or with a tell saying something like "100 of your best water and food .. hurry" and normally if its a lock box they wont even say nothing other then open this now.. or hurry the hell up i have something to do...
today i was viewing the auction house and was about to buy a 16 slot bag via buyout for one of my alts.. it was the only one left on the AH at that time.. so i go to click buyout when all of a sudden someone shoves a trade window in my face.. i ask them to hold on a second so i can buy this they had the balls to say "No your a mage and this is your primary use in this game give me water and food or me and my entire guild will blacklist you and spread the word around that you refuse to help anyone and you wont be getting into any end game instances."
now about this time i was just annoyed.. i went to go do the buyout on the bag to see that someone had beaten me to it.. i didnt even argue with this person i just did /shoo and put him on ignore i could care less if his guild blacklists me and i am sorry but no one guild is important enough to have that much sway over anyones reputation...
So after that happened i decided that i will not give out water or food or open up lock boxes if you just come up and start demanding these services that i will happily render to you for FREE if you just say something as simple via tell as "hey do you got a minute to open this?" or "If you wouldnt mind i could use some water and food when you got a minute."
if you do something as simple as that i will make you brimming over with food and water and open all the lock boxes you and all your friends have.. i will do it for free and if you want to tip thats great if not it dosent matter to me..
but please if you are one of these people who DEMANDS anything from anyone in this game.. just stop .. your making a fool out of yourself and if this kind of thing keeps happening enough your going to stop seeing these services rendered for free..
be nice.. i know for the majority of you whoever raised you taught you better then that just because you can hide behind the guise of a online character dosent give you the right to act like king louis the 3rd and demand things ... just be nice people its not that difficult and it wont kill you and you would probably be surprised how well people will respond to it..

It amazes me that people can be so demanding. I can't imagine requesting water from a mage or a lock-pick from a rogue without at least a couple of pleases.
