Subject: PLEASE move Korrak
Now... I want to say that I do NOT want Korrak to be relegated to "farm-bait" like Onyxia and Azuregos have on most servers. In that light he should remain a high-investment raid boss that takes a significant amount of time and energy to destroy.

However, his current location is abysmal. The Ice Barbed Spear (http://www.thottbot.com/?i=40261), is a very good weapon that isn't a random drop, and so can be gotten reliably. The other rewards are good, but that is the main attraction for most. Thus while 35 of us in Alterac Valley (AV) want to PvP and drive the horde/alliance into the depths of the Twisting Nether (and get reputation, HK's, and cp, of course), there's always a few who constantly whine and beg to kill Korrak. Occasionally there's enough of them that as much as HALF of our AV faction abandons PvP to kill the bugger, completely ignoring strategy, our current status, the opposing faction, etc. Doing so is almost always synonymous with pressing the ILOSE button because killing Korrak has no direct PvP benefit for the faction that slays him.

I, for one, am tired of hearing the constant whining and begging of 5 people for some PvE at the cost of PvP for the other 35...in a zone designed for PvP. Therefore, I propose that either Korrak be relocated or some PvP event be granted for his slaying.

I've come up with a few ideas for new locations, but my favorite is to on a rare occasion (once a day?) drop him in the Gurubashi Arena in place of the usual chest drop every three hours. An hour before his arrival announcers from the two AV factions broadcast (in Booty Bay...maybe also in the capitals) Korrak's approach. An hour later Korrak appears and stays for two hours or until he is out of combat, whichever happens second. He himself drops NOTHING to avoid tapping, but instead a gigantic chest appears upon his death as a reward for his slayers...and to encourage fierce competition. In the chest is a quest-starter item that can be turned in to the vendors at the AV entrances in exchange for the current quest rewards. This quest-item can be looted up to five times by different people, upon which time the chest will disappear and the chest events will return to the normal three-hour cycle. If the giant chest hasn't been looted within an hour of the next standard chest drop, it simply disappears. Those that want to recharge their Rune of Recall (the AV-hearthstone) would have to do another, simpler quest inside AV.

Let me know what you think, but there really should be something done about the Korrak farmers who make PvPing far more difficult for everyone else. They understandably want a couple very good items, but none of the rewards are PvP-related (the AV-specific hearthstone is an exception but that helps the individual, not the group) and so pursuing Korrak is a PvE activity. This is not appropriate for a PvP-centric Battleground like Alterac Valley.

Alterac Valley is being looked into currently, and Korrak is on the list of things to improve. We expect to make some changes in an upcoming patch, but at this time we cannot say which patch.
