Okay, I am finally ready to add my two cents into this game.
I have been "warned" by blizzard to stop my cussing and swearing, someone reported me for some reason. I remember doing it but this is my rant..
What is the purpose of the profanity filter? Why is it there? So if someone swears it replaces the word with %!#% or some sort of code much like that. If you are offended by someone "cussing", put on the profanity filter for christ sake.
I should not have even recieved a warning, why should I recieve a warning for my everyday words or if I am pissed about something and let a word slip ,intentionally or not, when there is a program incorporated into the game to censor my words to little ones or prudent ears.
I am not challenging anything, I just feel I am being supressed of something, much like "freedom of speech". Sure, you could say I am placing my words upon another persons mind, well, if thats the case then why did you incorporate the filter in the first place? You should have left it out and required no profanity at all.
My question to you Blizzard is this:
Why are you incorporating a program to supress the profanity among, in slang terms, "virgin" ears while I am still going to be warned, and possibly have my account deleted, for doing something you have worked to supress?
Either delete the program off the list and make it "illegal", in a sense, to use profanity, or stop warning people for cussing and tell the characters who contact a game master ,about the language, to use the program provided if they are offended.
Action must be taken or many accounts are going to be deleted soon.
