I've never had a concern with conjuring water for another player at any point in the game, whether it was a party member or a random request. Playing my Shaman and Warlock reminded me just how much of a luxury it was to be able make water with my Mage. As a player, I enjoy using whatever unique class abilities I have to aid others.

Q u o t e:

we arn't talking about the lower lvl waters where you can cast 20 at a time.

Neither am I, Magian. Please don't assume the level of my Mage.

Eyonix, you're just too weird.

You say things like "I don't have trouble summoning five stacks of crystal water for random strangers" and "I've never had any trouble with resistances on my mage." and "Fighting shamans on mages is an interesting and not unbalanced fight." and ....

I don't get requests for five stacks of crystal water from complete strangers, nor did I state such. When I'm in Orgrimmar, I often receive whispers that simply beg for some water of an unspecified amount - at which point I gladly take a moment to conjure in one stack of twenty. I'm sorry that I don't share everyone's same experience in receiving ridiculous requests for water. If I ever received a request that was beyond what I felt was reasonable; or had time for, I'd politely reject the person stating my reason. I wouldn't feel the need to post on a public message board, or refer to myself as a "water vendor".

Every time I disagree with an opinion, I'm flamed for it. I'm sorry, but that's just not appropriate. I'm very respectful of the opinions posted on these boards when presented in a civil manner, even the ones that I don't agree with. All I ask is for the same respect in return.

Yes, concerning your last two "Eyonix quotes", I never made either of those statements. Please don't quote me unless it's verbatim, otherwise I will consider it an attempt to spread rumors.

Q u o t e:
i believe Sir Eyonix never had a lvl 60 mage. otherwise he should understand making 100 (5 stacks) crystall water is not fun at all.

Eyonix, enough noob talk, tell us the turth! whats your Mage's real lvl?

My Undead Mage is level 60. I have a second Mage which is nearly level 30. All during Alpha and Beta I played a Mage. Credibility is not what is being sought here, but more like an excuse to discredit me - which is the first thing people explore when a contrary statement or belief is offered up.

Q u o t e:
im sorry mate, but all your Mage opinion is weird, sounds like a "noob mage". it is hard for us to beleive you were enjoy to summon over 500 water for your MC/BWL raid... (we talk about MC/BWL every night)

I've not even specifically mentioned conjuring water in Molten Core or Blackwing Lair thus far, so I'm not sure how my opinions in this area could sound "weird". In a 40 man raid, I'm not the only one summoning water. More importantly, I can make all the water I need for the entire raid in the time it takes for the 39 other players to gather.

Perhaps it's unusual for me to get to a raid a few minutes early in preparation of what I bring to the group by playing the only class which can summon water? Perhaps I should take conjure water off of my bar because it's more of a burden than a blessing? You're free to feel this way, I however, completely disagree.

Again this is your opinion on the mage's and water conjuring subject. But from my personal view and from what I've seen most other mage's points of views it's really really annoying having to summon 4 bottles of water for 780 mana for MC / BWL.

I really don't understand why it isn't 20 water for 780 mana ... it will make thing's so much quicker and more efficient

Please consider all mage's points of view on this subject, not just yours please Eyonix

Hitesh, make no mistake - every single meeting I've had with the development team involving class discussions I've requested that crystal water be summonable in quantities greater than four. My opinion is not what's presented when in a meeting with the development team concerning this game.

Either you dont play, or you lie a lot.

So tell me, my mage logs in, and within seconds I am spammed with tells asking for not one, but 5-10 stacks of crystal water. I'm not kidding...

And nobody wants to stand around summoning 100-300 water for some lazy moron on his way to a raid.

I dont mind summoning it for friends or raids, but I do mind when ten thousand idiots spam me before my mage has even finished loading Orgrimmar.

If this is a problem for you, ignore, or /ignore the players "bothering" you. I've invested so much of my time running players through instances or helping others out with quests that I'm constantly messaged for help the moment I login. I realize that these whispers are primarily due to an expectation that I've created by trying my best to make everyone I've encountered which seem decent have an enjoyable gaming experience. When I receive a request for help and I'm free I will do what I can, otherwise I respond accordingly.

I doubt that receiving whispers for help, whether it be to assist on a quest, or to conjure some water will ever be my downfall. I'm a pretty tolerant player, and to be quite honest, enjoy the interaction.

Q u o t e:
Not trying to sound mean or hurtful with this, but Eyonix, you really should not respond to threads like these. You are a Blizzard employee. The quotes I have posted above will not be taken as the truth as we are a far too skeptical society to believe you. You work for Blizzard, and as such, you appear as you would want other players to appear. Every player should be nice and respectful to others players, and my making responces like those above, you are trying to set the standard that mages should adhere to. "Leading by example" as the saying goes. Plus, as a side bonus, you are attempting to show other players that a mage is a "waterboy" and not a damage dealer which is how our class was orginally described. After all, a CM has no problem with it, why should players? Not saying this is your intention or not, but that is how it is viewed. Again, to quote an old saying "Its not what you say, its how you say it". Hear my advice or not, thats up to you.

Trust isn't something I can force upon the community. The fact remains, the things I write come from me, and are not derived from some handbook on how I should respond to the community. If I were to begin neglecting posts out of fear of distrust, I'd have absolutely nothing with which I could respond. In the end, I often have to speak past those that would immediately dismiss my every word due to extreme skepticism anyhow.

Q u o t e:
Simple Solution:

Turn mages into water coolers for other players. All you have to do is walk up to a mage, inspect, and click the "Fill Cup" button, and you get a stack of water in your inventory.

Pithy, "Mage. The Maginator! Makin' water!" jokes optional.

Alright, I will submit the request but please be aware - four waters per player choosing to fill their cup.
