Subject: BLUE: Petition to rid Civilians
it has become an annoyance that any time you raid a town outside of battle grounds you usually get a number of DK's in the confusion...

as a result of this ever since Civilians were originally released town raids have halted completely, SS/TM no longer exists and if you were to EVER try to raid Xroads or IF or Org or whatever, you would again have tons of DK's as penalties....

bring back the old days! raids were my favorite part of the game!

in summary, i petition to remove Civilians and the elite guards from each of the towns.

I need to make a personal notice about this.

I strongly opposed any sort of dishonorable kill system. I knew that once you put dishonorable kills into the game, and people started racking them up in the confusion, there would be an outcry.

My biggest fear was player dishonorable kills. My goodness, if NPC DKs are bad, imagine what havoc those level 20 players might have cooked up.

NPC DKs were put in to address the very large, and very angry wave of players who wanted a DK system.

But even then, I argued against it. But it was felt that that was the best compromise between having no DKs and having a harsh DK penalty.

Thus, I say to you this: it was the best approach to a difficult situation. Also, our intention is to reduce the town raiding so that lower level players can quest in those areas with some level of protection.
