It's Friday, July 22, and 1 o'clock MST. I've been in the Warsong Gulch queue for 4 hours now, with no sign of ever getting in. This is sadly normal for me... I've gotten into the queue many times, at all different hours of the day. I've only once ever gotten into a Battleground. I keep trying, out of hope, and keep getting disappointed.
Like many other people, part of the reason I am playing is off the promise of the Battlegrounds. Like today, I logged in out of the hope that I might get in one. I had no interest in questing or anything else. I just wanted to play a Battleground, and then go on about the business of my day.
I apologize for complaining. I just would like to know from a developer if there are any immediate plans to change this situation with the Battlegrounds?
I really am finding more often than not lately when I log in to this fantastic and beautiful game that I am getting disappointed. Its the most attractive MMORG I have ever seen, and yet it requires you to spend a ridiculous amount of travel time just to be able to play... far more than any other game. It was interesting at first, for realism's sake. But now it's just work.
We don't log in to work... we log in to play.
So I was glad when the Battlegrounds were done and came in, so that I could get to play without having the work element to it. But I can't seem to get in one.
Please let me know if this is going to change or not. Otherwise, no matter how wonderful this game looks, I think I may just go on to play something else, where I don't have to work so much to play, or have to wait and hope for hours to be able to have the fifteen minute activity I was hoping for.

It has been stated that we are working on incentives for Battlegrounds in order to bring more people into a particular Battleground at a given time. Be patient -- there are solutions in the works.

Understand that I can't give you a simple "yes" or "no", because I cannot predict how players will react with 100% accuracy nor can I force people into Warsong to play with you this very instant.
What I can tell you is what I have told you: we know that the queues for Battlegrounds are far from fun, and we want to get players in there as much as you do. The incentive system we're working on implementing should help your current situation, but it's not going to be implemented tomorrow. We'd like to get it in as soon as we can, but it still requires balancing and testing.

Incentives won't change my problem. Sure, you could get a great incentive program going that triples the number of people in queues to play BGs... but that triples it on both sides. So if the populations (Horde vs. Alliance) are disparate, the one side will be screwed and people will sit there waiting for long periods still.
An incentive system won't add "open" Battlegrounds, or do anything about there being twice as many Alliance players as Horde players.
So, again, thank you for responding and telling me what I wanted to know. And I apologize for complaining to you.
I have stated elsewhere that we are also working on solutions for the Horde-Alliance imbalance issue on those realms drastically affected by it. I don't think that "NO" is as definite as you believe.
