I tried this on the suggestions board but didnt get anything do I'll try it here, the following is an exact copy of my post...

Many people would like to see the return of Plainsrunning because of the Taurens inability to use the mounts of other races.
The topic had some nice ideas like the following...
I can see wanting to bring it back, but it would need to be reworked to be fair:
-Quest/cost to learn the ability (either 60% or 100% speed increase for respective levels, and according costs)
-Activating plainsrunning would have a 3 second cast time in which the tauren have to stop and stretch their muscles to prepare for the higher physical demand of plains running. This can only be done out of combat and being hit disrupts the 'casting'. This balances it out with other mount cast times.
-Plainsrunning has tauren on all fours so it's noticable that they are doing such. Plainsrunning acts as being mounted: can't attack, dazing removes plainsrunning, etc. (Cilandra 60 Hume Warlock. Argent Dawn)

Ok, I may be going out on a limb here, but after you donate what-not for the quest to learn Plainstriding, you have to race someone across Muglore.
But, it would be pretty hard and you would need Swiftness potions and what-not to win. I think that would be pretty awesome.

Many people also thought of an animation of the tauren running on all fours when activated. I heard that this was already planned in the beta until they removed it and gave tauren the Kodo.
A very good idea IMO. What do you all think?

In the name of balance, if Tauren were to regain Plainsrunning, it probably would have to be vastly "tweaked" (read: nerfed), as the original iteration was pretty powerful.
Oh, and just so we're all clear, Tauren aren't getting Plainsrunning back any time soon.[ post edited by Tyren ]
