Well, so far we've heard:
1) New servers will be out at the next content patch. Well, HERE WE ARE!
2) New servers will be released in a while. That was 2-3 weeks ago.
Well CMs, any news on when we will be getting a new server? RP/PvP, even.

The new realms will be released when we are ready to release them. That was clearly not today. I know you're after an ETA of sorts, and I can understand that. The prospect of beginning again on virgin soil is exciting. I know I and a few others with which I work will be creating characters on the RP-PvP realm.
However, we have to make sure everything is in order. We must be certain our support staff is briefed and ready to handle concerns that will inevitably arise with the new ruleset. The hardware needs to be in place and thoroughly tested.
We've said that we'll give you an ETA when we have one for you, and that holds true. That information has not yet arrived. It isn't what you want to hear, I'm aware, but it's the truth of the matter. Sit back, be patient; they're on their way.

It is not difficult to give an approximate date, no -- however, the unfortunate reality is that people view these estimated times as rock-solid promises. Because of this, we do not give estimated times until we are absolutely confident that the event will occur on or before that date.

Could you at least tell us if were seeing this within a month or that its something youre planning to implement around 2006? Trick? It's no trick -- they are in fact being planned and we do plan on releasing them. I'm not quite certain where you got the idea that we were "tricking" you. While we have had the hardware, it's one thing to have it and another entirely to set it up in order to function as a realm.
I am sorry if you're not satisfied, but we are in no way tricking you. We informed the community that they're on their way, which is true, but they're in the process of being readied and we don't have a time for their arrival to share as of yet.
