Short story explanation: Last nite I was doing a DM tribute run with a group of friends. Four mob pull - rogue sapped, no imp sap, rogue died. I'm not in combat so I try to rez. Warrior dies because it takes bloody ages to rez the rogue, rogue folds again, mage crumbles. The sheep wakes up and it's just me and a pally vs 3 now ... we wipe.
So lets take a look at what the 6 out of 9 other classes can do to prevent wipes:
- Pallies get Divine Intervention -- Great spell, but it's a shame most of them never think to use it!!
- Druids get combat rez -- Mostly wasted in combat.
- Warlocks have SS -- <B
- Shamans can self rez -- >>>>> DivI * 9.9yx100
- ROGUES can vanish and use jumper cables >=(
- HUNTERS can feign death/jumper cables >=(
So apart from Priests that leaves Mages and Warriors who have no buisness rezzing anyway.
Our only option as Priests is to RUN before we get into combat if we want to prevent a full wipe. Thats not tactical, thats cowardly. I'm not the type of priest who throws in the towel easily, I'd rather stick it out and take my chances than make like a chicken and cluck-off. I'm sure most of you healers feel the same way!
So here's what I propose. A new 5th tier talent (20pts pre-req) for five points that reduces our resurection time from 10s to 4s (1.2s per point). I'd be happy with just that, but if you really wanted to give the priests some loving (like you did with warlock demonology talents) I would like the same talent to increase the HP/Mana returned upon ressurection by 10-50%.
This would still be risky buisness and take some team co-ordination to pull off IMO. Everyone who's ever casted Greater Heal knows a tank can die in 4 seconds very easily.
We priests lost all of our ressurection talents back in the middle stages of beta. Isn't it time that we as the main-healer class, get at least one ressurection talent back?

Very close. Priests are kings at wipe prevention, but they are not meant for wipe recovery.
