(Couldnt Decide what forum this belongs in, so Ill try my luck here...)
I live in Europe (Ireland if you must know) and recently bought a gamecard for wow. I was assured by the clerk that it would work on an american account, and I scanned the info on the actual card itself nad no mention was made of it ONLY working on european accounts. Well, the card was invalid, and the store wont refund my money, so Im wondering if theres anything that can be done. Thanks in advance.[ post edited by Fadawah ]

This is unfortunate; we have heard of a number of incidents where retail store staff have advised customers inaccurately, claiming that European and North American game cards are interchangeable-- they are not.
Our first recommendation is (similar to other suggestions here) to escalate with immediate management of the store where you purchased it, making it clear that it was a mistaken assurance made by their staff that caused you to purchase a product you could not use. Escalating with management of the retail chain may also be of use in, at the very least, helping them make their employees aware of the separate nature of the different EU/North American editions and their respective game cards (if not getting you credit towards a product that is of use to you).
If the store and its management are ultimately unwilling or unable to accommodate you, please call our Billing & Account Services team at 1-800-59-BLIZZARD (1-800-592-5499) and our staff will see if there are any other options we can pursue. Best wishes.
