I'm just curious if the CM's would be willing to show off their characters. I can't help but wonder how Fangtooth made his undead priest look and how Caydiem made her tauren druid, etc.

Afraid not. Equipment and appearance is almost as telling as the name of the character.
If you don't believe this is so, let me relate a story unto you. :)
In late beta, we participated in a PvP event on the PvP Beta Server. In order to do this, existing characters were copied over to our account and renamed to match our forum names. When I logged on, people took one look at me and accused me of being that particular character -- which was untrue, of course -- just because of my equipment.
No, posting screenshots of our characters would only cause unnecessary grief to both our true characters and everyone who had similar looking characters and equipment. :P

We're anonymous in game. We play on regular realms alongside you folks, and you folks don't know who we are.
If we posted screenshots (I'm not saying everyone would do this, but it's a distinct possibility) there's a good chance a "witch hunt" of sorts would occur, seeking out the character that matches that appearance precisely and haranguing them (whether it was actually us or not). This would result in harassment cases and all manner of ugliness, since it would completely destroy our place in the realm communities (in which we're active, I assure you).
Does that make more sense?

Your offense does not move me; we have plotted together in the past, but I have never forgotten the transgressions upon my person upon that fateful day in springtime, April the first, when you and your kind rose up against me, imprisoned me, and subjected me to all manner of torment. Do you think I can merely scour such from my mind?! How can you possibly believe I would turn a blind eye to the hateful, repulsive actions committed by you and yours upon that bloody evening?! And now you expect me to smile and take the blessing of a slimy, despicable, malevolent thing like yourself?

I may not have planned it, but I also did not waste the opportunity to try and educate everyone in the horrors that my kind must live with every day. Your kind was at risk of extinction by the cruel Centaur, until Thrall and his kindness came to your aide. You found a kindred spirit in the Night Elves when they taught you the ways of Cenarius. Who, I ask you, has ever come to the Murloc's aide?
No one has, that's who!

As for what happened on April the First, you should be thankful you were not here to witness -- indeed, fall victim to -- the horror. On that blackest of days, the innocent faces you see around you -- the rugged Orc, the noble Tauren, the graceful Night Elf, the amusing Gnome -- every one, Alliance and Horde alike, were transformed into Murlocs! And of course, who should rise to the occasion and lead his newfound army but Fangtooth himself, against the lone soul immune to the sorcery: me.
The ululating cries of the Murlocs still echo in my ears to this day.... the horror...

Q u o t e: If she posts Blue then she should be helping, not screwing around.
Find me a post where *any* Blue post addresses the problem of people _leaving_ low pop servers for already overcrowded ones in the hope of getting some (half-arsed) PvP action in the Battlegrounds.
Pretty soon they'll be one PvP and one PvE server with an active population above 100 and a queue to long for any casual player to wait for.
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-general&t=3605511&tmp=1#post3605511
I say that the issues will be exacerbated on low population realms should new realms open up, implying that there are in fact issues on low population realms already.

Q u o t e: That is in fact the answer to the *opposite* problem I just described.
People are moving *from* low pop servers *to* high pop servers because Battlegrounds is all but useless on low population servers.
Why does everyone think I'm making the same complaints that have already been addressed? I don't want new servers. And in the recent thread I started, I wasn't complaining about queue lengths for battlegrounds.
The problems I'm trying to highlight are far more subtle -- and far more damaging. The problem appears to be that Blizzard are completely incapable of managing rapid population shifts and changes in player behaviour brought on by rushed new features. Never mind the bugs, learn to craft something that scales up past 100 people.
As for sending mail to an @blizzard.com address, is there really any point? Every response I've got from them has been a cut 'n paste answer TO A QUESTION I DIDN'T ASK. I bet I'd just get something that says "We believe out CMs are performing a valuable service, thank you for your feedback".
Meanwhile, when Proudmoore has a 500+ queue every day rather than just on weekends and public holidays I'll pretty much have to give up on the characters I've spent months (minus every Tuesday in recent memory) working on. While I have friends with characters on other servers, I'm sure many people in a similar situation do not.
So while you're "building community" with your inane prattle (and increasingly agressive posts when we are in fact the people that pay your salary) WoW is turning into a series of queues separated by ghost towns. Whether you can or can't do anything about this personally is not as important as whether or not you look like you're screwing around or actually trying to help solve the problem.
No, actually, the problems are related if you look at the larger situation.
People are saying they want new realms. We're currently saying not at this time. Why? Because it would exacerbate the problem on low population realms. Well, what is this problem? The low population realms aren't getting many new people, as high population realms are more popular and some of those looking for a "new" realm don't want one with 60s on it (low population realms do not apply, therefore). Yes, those posts do acknowledge that there are problems on low population realms. Not the opposite, as you claim. We have already addressed it with as much information as we have available -- before we started this back-and-forth. There is not much we can do for you if we don't have the answers you seek.
Yes, there is a point to sending an eMail to the wowcmfeedback@blizzard.com address. It goes directly to our supervisors, and they read and consider every single eMail that comes their way. They're busy folks so they might not have time to respond, but they will read it. (Incidentally, no, I do not have access to this inbox... there are some who think it just goes to me, which is not the case.)
I appreciate your feedback, but posting it on the forums is not the post productive way of getting your voice heard. The address I posted above is. Please use it.

Q u o t e: Not to fuel the fire or attempt to blackmail, but..
The CM's in City of Heroes were out and about every now and then, custom costumes and all. They were always well celebrated, and normally* didn't recieve much flak.
*ok, we harrassed Statesman, but.. who wouldn't?
Those were specially-made characters, not their everyday, anonymous play characters, which is what the original poster is asking for.

If that's a demonstration of you being speechless, Murloc, never let me catch you when you're in a verbose mood.
I will never forget that day, creature. We may have had alliances in the past, but there were too many wrongs done to my people, my own person, when your army arose from the deeps.

We preserve the natural order. Filthy parasites such as yourself destroy much of what we work to achieve. No one loves the mosquito or the tick, Murloc. You are the lowly scavenger, not I.

I say that the issues will be exacerbated on low population realms should new realms open up, implying that there are in fact issues on low population realms already.
https://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-general&t=3622004&p=1&tmp=1#post3622004
Fangtooth says more or less the same thing.
We know about the issues therein.
I suggest you send any and all feedback on our performance to wowcmfeedback@blizzard.com. However, this thread is in fact community building and such acts are allowed by our supervisors in moderation. :)

Yes, we do indeed sit in the same room, and we were laughing. (When we do this, one of us reads the forums while the other is responding to make sure no threads of import are missed. When done, we yell, "Tag!" and switch. Fang and I are both silly people at times, and we haven't done one of these for months.)

If I do find occasion to post on my play account, I do so under one of my lesser-known race/class combinations. Posting often as a level 60 Tauren Druid would be silly. :P
