Okay, so my level 51 Druid on Proudmoore (which I can't seem to switch to on the forum) gets the gold ! from a dwarf in IF encouraging me to go to Alterac Valley and do the battlegrounds thing.
Upon arrival, I'm told my expected wait time is just over three hours. That's around when I'm expecting to log out and go to bed, but I decide to stay in the queue and see if that's realistic.
Sure enough, 35-40 minutes later, in the middle of a tough battle (a level 54 I think) I get the one minute warning. I finish and loot with about three seconds to spare and get teleported into to the instance.
Upon arrivial, I'm greeted with the message that there aren't enough players and the game will end in three minutes. Three minutes later I'm back outside the instance and no longer in the queue.
I didn't bother rejoining it, I won't ever bother with battlegrounds again. I knew there were problems, but wow, how much development time did you waste on this?

We are working on ways to balance out the factions, but it is a very delicate process. We are taking our time and making small steps so that we do not sway the balance too far in either direction.
The Murloc is in aggro range...

I do not feel that my post missed the point. The reason you were dropped so quickly is because the other faction did not have enough players to support the interest. We are aware of this happening and we are working to fix it.
The Murloc is in aggro range...
