Subject: Not reading, not speaking or just not caring?
I have been a long-time fan of Blizzard games. I started with Warcraft 2, (Though I guess I really started with Lost Vikings). I'm not a casual gamer, but I'm not hardcore either, and I've been bored with endgame content for some time. That's why the Honor system was such a good idea. It was like an independent experience level that could net you good stuff.

I logged in and found that while my casual(ish) gamer computer couldn't really handle Alterac Valley, I could play Warsong Gulch. I had fun, but when I saw the honor I was getting for it, I kept going. I switched to my hardcore(ish) self and began grinding Warsong for honor when I would have really rather done something else. To me, that's what divides the hardcore players from the casual ones. The hardcore ones are willing to play a game for hours on end and not enjoy themselves in order to better their character and enjoy other aspects of the game.

So when we logged on on Tuesday, the vast majority of players and I were sorely dissapointed, and i do mean sorely. I earned 10X the honor of my previous career playing, I had the highest standing I've ever had, and what did I have to show for it? Nothing.

Here are my questions:
Is this working as intended?
If it isn't, will you retroactively apply that honor?
If it is, is this the reaction you intended?
If it is, have you reconsidered making it work differently?
Do you realize how many of us are upset to the point of cancelling accounts?

I don't know if the silence comes from not reading these posts, getting a message from higher-ups not to respond, or if you could just care less about this issue.

Some kind of response is needed, my account expires June 19th, and I'm not going to pay for an additional month just to see if you feel like talking. The silence only enfuriates us all. If you're running around like mad and having meetings and whatnot, tell us something. We only know what we see here. No response on the forums = no care.

It's relative, Zulji. While you earned a great deal more than you ever did, so did pretty much everyone else interested in PvP, and quite a few more that had never really participated in PvP prior. You are competing with all those people.

To answer your questions.... Yes, it's working as intended. We did expect some people to be disappointed that they got far more honor and yet did not gain as much as they thought they would -- it is not like the experience bar. We have no plans to change the way it works at this time. I am sorry that you feel like cancelling your account over this, but the Honor System does not function like the PvE experience system.

Now, I'm not sure what rank you held previously. If it was an officer's rank, though, understand that things do slow down the higher you go.
