Ok, I'm a Sargent. SARGENT. The highest amount of CP I've got before this has been 2000.
Why, Blizzard, did I NOT gain a rank this week? I got thirty two THOUSAND CP and no rank! WHY? This is INSANE. I spent all week PvPing and no rank gain? What's the point then.
I know you said it would be hard to gain ranks but I'm rank THREE. It shouldn't be this har dto go from rank three to rank four.
What's your excuse, Blizzard?

additionally, EVERYONE AND THEIR FRICKEN COUSIN DID EXACTLY WHAT YOU DID LAST WEEK, THEY PVP'D. hence, you're looking at even more competition
Keep your contrib averages up, a lot of people will be pvp'ing less as the novelty wears off, same as they did when the HK system first came out.
This is correct. Your rank is determined by comparing your total honor against all the other characters of the same faction on your realm. Players who have been accumulating honor in battlegrounds over the last week are still compared to people who have been PvPing since the honor system went live. You must consistently earn honor to move up in rank.
