| |
This is a serious, legitimate question that I've come to be very interested in after observing some known exploits being used in PvP situations. I won't get into details, as that isn't important in this post. However my point is that I was wondering if anyone has actually reported someone for obviously using an exploit, and having some kind of confirmation that that person was banned from the game or punished in some way. Please don't mention details, or anything regarding the punishment, because I think that might violate the code of conduct for the forum.
The reason I am asking this is because I have watched, on a nightly basis for the past month or so, the same dozen people using the same exploit. I've reported them, and so have many other people. I've sent in screenshots of this being done, documented names and times as well. But they continue to do this. I've even sent screenshots and detailed information about each one to the hacks email address after a forum moderator suggested doing so in a thread authored by another person that was directly related to my concern.
Again, I'm not looking for details or anything like that. Just a quick response to see if Blizzard actually takes any action, or if they are hiding behind their Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy so that they can say they are punishing these people, but in fact they are not.

Thank you for the concern for others' privacy you displayed in asking this question.
However, I must redirect your question. The Game Master staff, the Hacks team, and Account Administration are the people to contact in situations like this. Game Masters can be reached ingame through the petition system; the Hacks team can be reached with the ever-popular hacks@blizzard.com; and the Account Admin team is reachable at wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com. (Alternately, http://www.blizzard.com/support/wowGM/?id=agm01715p contains all the information you may need on the subject.)
Blizzard takes exploitation very seriously, and we thank you for doing your part to keep the game and community exploit-free.
