My brother cancelled his account awhile back, he was considering coming back to WoW but he wanted to see his character lists again before he signed up, just to see if he actually had characters on a server that his buddy started playing on recently. Is there any way of checking characters on a cancelled acount WITHOUT resubscribing? Thanks.

There is no way to check one's roster if the account is not active, however, I can tell you we keep characters indefinitely after an account is cancelled, so they should still be there. :)
