One per class
In a few other games i play the "Rep" is infact just a player like u or me who has the respect of the class comunity and is trusted by Blizzard
The only Pay they recieve is either in the form of a Free playtime or a reduced subscription fee
their job is to Moderate the class forum that they oversee and to compile and comunicate the issues that ppl have with the class to the CMs who pass that to the Dev's if it is worth their time
Also they are expected to play and test many different builds and equipment/Race combenations(sp~_~) to provide feedback to CM/Devs and also so they can answer some Questions the player base has
To this end they are given Access to the Test server and also Access to highend equip and lvl skiping on the Test server for ....testing
They are exepected to Post Dayly on their Class Forums and Report monthy to CM's
This is a simple system and has prooven to work well in many other games and should be seriously looked at as a way to keep the Playerbase happy and also to help the CMs in their jobs
God knows Blizzard could use the help and what is 9 subscriptions in the larger picture of WoW
*puts on Flame proof Suit*

We have no plans to implement a class representative program at this time, and certainly not in the form of volunteers, as that idea has several legal concerns surrounding it.

Q u o t e: But if the Payment is in the form of a free acccount the they are employees not Volunteers
But hay im not a lawyer... thank god
Make them sign a "Secrecy" form or an "I wont take u to court" form
It just seems a Very simple fix to a problem that will only get worse with time
A) Keeping ppl informed
B) alowing ppl the feeling of being Heard by somone who isnt usless
C) Letting u guys get back to your coffee break (no more locking all cap threads in class forums THEY CAN DO IT)
While I cannot mention specifics, other players have -- I would suggest researching the history of volunteers in this business. They would still be volunteers, and there are serious legal concerns surrounding any such program.

Hectate... I'll speak plainly. We have absolutely no plans to have a volunteer system, period. It isn't a matter of "paying lawyers enough". If you're unsure as to why we have this stance, I suggest you research the subject.

Q u o t e: Could you explain the reasoning behind the decision not to have class representatives is for us though Cay? There is certainly a demand for it. It can't be a financial decision. Therefore there must be another basis for the position Blizzard are taking and I think a lot of us would be interested in having an understanding of what that reasoning is.
Our managers are of the opinion that the current community team conveys class concerns actively and accurately as it currently stands.

Q u o t e: Well. I don't know how anyone else feels about this but it makes me think there isn't any point in posting anywhere but the OT forums. See ya.
